Account book, 1756-1803.

Records debits and credits accrued by Fearing from 1756 to 1803 for a variety of activities. References to sloops, ship building, and insurance payments indicate that Fearing was a part owner in several mercantile enterprises. Wages paid and items exchanged for keeping house, planing a porch, mowing, carpentry work, making window frames, sawing, fixing cart wheels, tailoring, plowing, planing, hauling loads of wood, and general farm labor are documented. The volume also contains accounts for funeral charges and the settlement of the estate of a John Fearing who died in 1787.
